Artist Introduction:
Born in 1982 in Chongqing, China, this artist graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2006 and currently lives and works in Chongqing.
His work delves into the philosophical tension between inner truth and illusion through a non-representational visual language. Breaking away from traditional forms of expression, his paintings evoke the ephemeral beauty of dust drifting freely through fleeting light—at once tangible and transcendent.
While his art may appear abstract, it resists strict categorization. He describes his work as deformed still life and landscapes—beyond reality, yet grounded in a tactile sense of presence. Using undulating lines to portray seascapes, clouds, and distorted forms, he creates a visual dialogue between what is seen and what is sensed, inviting the viewer into a contemplative space.
When confronted with these intricate compositions, one does not merely experience visual pleasure, but also encounters a reflection—of the artist himself, and of something deeply personal and resonant within each viewer.
As he reflects:
"The lightness of being, the minuteness of dust—life dwelling among mountains and waters is like dust in a beam of light: agile, weightless, uncertain. In places I have yet to see, greater phenomena must be silently unfolding, coexisting with me in this very moment."
